Our Thai Peninsular Restaurant is about “YOU”. You are
our most important ingredient in making us successful. Our
business survives on word of mouth recommendations.
It is very satisfying that in the short space of time
that we have been established (opened June 07) that many of our
customers have been regulars bringing their friends to enjoy
with them the food, the atmosphere and the friendly team we
have.
It’s a Hidden Paradise at the Wonnee. We are fortunate
that it seems as if we can step back in time at the Wonnee and
create our own peace and tranquility and we want to ensure your
visit with us is a memorable occasion every time you visit.
We are strategically located in quiet and picturesque Woronora
on the River. Since its establishment in 1832 thousands
of visitors have enjoyed their special moments on the
“Wonnee”. People used to come here from all over Sydney
to gather in groups and socialise, dance and tell
stories.
Our restaurant is a
place where you can unwind enjoying a very
affordable meal, watch the ducks holding up traffic
whilst deciding to cross the road and the pelicans landing on
the water. We encourage you to enjoy our wonderful $9.95
lunches on Thursday to Sunday overlooking the water and sipping
a refreshing glass of wine.
Paula (Lek) my business
associate has been involved with Thai Restaurants for over 20
years. She previously owned the Rabieng Thai Restaurant at
Sylvania Heights and currently has 5 Papaya Bay Restaurants in
California. We have another associated restaurant “The
Thai Princess” in William Street in Sydney city.
For nearly 30 years I
(Harry) have been involved in Corporate level Franchising
predominantly with retail food outlets that are well
established house hold names.
When you dine with us
you become our honoured guest and we want you to relax, enjoy
yourself and forget about the daily pressures.
Our staff are passionate
about authentic Thai cuisine and will create the ultimate Thai
blend of tastes, colours and textures to please your palate.
Thai food combines the best of several eastern
cuisines.
Thai food is to be
shared and experienced with friends. A selection of soup, rice,
curry, stirfry, dips and salads will have you experience a
blend of spicy, sweet, savoury, and sour tastes.
Please let us know how
spicy you want your meals as we can adjust this
easily.
We offer you a carefully
selected range of Australian red and white wines and local
beers as well as imported beers from Thailand, Japan, Belgium,
Czech Republic and Mexico all at very affordable prices, from
the WONNEE BAR to compliment the meals you have
selected.
We are a restaurant
where you catch up with your friends and make new aquaintances.
People come to have fun, relax and enjoy themselves. We have
lots of functions and parties, Christenings, Naming Days,
Birthdays, 50ths, Anniversaries, Sporting Club or Social
Groups, Farewells, Business Functions, Fundraisers etc. We are
able to cater for Special Functions of up to 100 people.Tell us
what you want and we will do it for you. You can create your
own special atmosphere i.e your own music, flowers, balloons,
cake, projector or dvd etc to make it special for
you.
The Thai cooking classes
are held once a month on a Tuesday evening and are a huge
success with a lot of fun.Talk to our staff who will tell you
more. We have even had a Hens party of 40 ladies doing the
cooking course as a one off special on a Saturday afternoon. We
are happy to help you do something different.
Please enjoy one of the
world’s great cuisines and your visit with us. Let us know if
there is anything we can do to make it more pleasant for
you.
We invite you to join
our COCKATOO CLUB (Thai Fun Club). There are no costs involved
and many benefits that you can gain as we believe in thanking
our customers who visit us frequently. We will notify you of
special events that will occur throughout the year eg. Thai
cooking classes, giveaways, Song Kran, Loi Katong, Melbourne
Cup, Mothers Day, Fathers Day as well as other functions we put
on to be creative.
Thailand is a country
renown for its friendly people and the land of smiles and we
want you to find that with us.
KOP KHUN KHA.
